MAPUSA: Bardez Zonal Agriculture Office organised one day Block Level workshop on Coconut cultivation and value addition under Coconut Development Coard, Kochi.
The programme was inaugurated by Shoban Ugvekar, ADA (Horticulture) in the presence of Shrikant Mone AO (Hort), Sampatti Dhargalkar ZAO (Bardez) and Sonu Shetgaonkar. About 50 farmers attended the programme.

Technical sessions were also conducted during the workshop which included package of practices of coconut cultivation, demonstration on value addition in coconut i.e. crafts items of coconut and demonstration of basic techniques in coco arts such surface smoothening, cutting, etc.
Making of Virgin Coconut Oil, Coconut Barfi, making of brooms and mattresses was also explained.
