PONDA: Seven tourists were injured on Tuesday when the vehicle in which they were being ferried to Dudhsagar waterfall overturned. The incident occurred at 12.30 pm in Collem forest.
The injured tourists were later treated at Collem Health Centre.
Following this accident, some tourists complained to Forest Department at Collem about the same following which the officials warned the tour operators against exceeding speed limit while ferrying the tourists to Dudhsagar waterfall from Collem Bazaar.
The officials say that the up and down distance to the waterfall is 26 km through rough and rocky road in the forest. Therefore, speed limit of 30 per km hour is imposed on the tour operators.
Meanwhile the forest officials also said that they would maintain a complaint book for tourists to register their complaints during the visit to Dudhsagar waterfall.
