PANJIM: In a major development ahead of Christmas and New Year, Goa Police confirmed 95 police sub inspectors, 634 police constables and 169 police constable drivers who were on probation. In an order on Friday, the department lifted the probation period of 898 police officials and confirmed their appointment.
The department also regularised 26 ad-hoc PSIs and promoted two assistant sub inspectors to the rank of PSIs, in addition to regularising 21 ad-hoc ASIs and promoting nine head constables to the rank of ASIs. A total of 61 PSIs, ASIs and constables have been regularised and promoted.
