PONDA: AAP members alleged that the police’s delay in registering an FIR against Sudin Dhavalikar in connection with the MLA’s alleged fake degree was due to political pressure. They warned that they would approach the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) to direct the Ponda police to register the offence. On Thursday, the party had given the police 24 hours to comply with its demand.
The party’s National Chairman for Disciplinary Committee Dinesh Wagela said that they had met PI Sudesh Naik and discussed the investigation. After alleging that the police were delaying the case, he said that the party would approach the Ponda JMFC. He further said that the Dhavalikar should resign from the post of PWD minister and alleged that the MLA had been elected four times by providing the fake certificate. He also alleged that the subsidiary degree provided by Dhavalikar was not according to university norms since the vice-chancellor’s signature was not on it.
