Administrator hears Talsanzor residents

MARGAO: South Goa Administrator of Communidades Sangeeta Naik on Tuesday began the exercise of hearing the people of Talsanzor who were served notices for demolition of their illegal structures.

The Comunidade Administrator will hear around 105 parties from Moti Dongor on Wednesday and the remaining on Thursday.

Around 42 cases from Talsanzor were fixed for hearing at the office of the Administrator of Comunidades today, of which 33 parties were represented by their lawyer, while four persons failed to turn up for the hearing.

Comunidade Administrator Sangeeta Naik told Herald that the lawyer representing the 33 parties have sought time to file affidavits along with the documents to avert the demolitions.

“After hearing the lawyer, I have given seven days time for the 33 parties to file their replies by June 10,” Naik said, adding that she would take up hearing of the 105 cases of Moti Dongor on Wednesday.

Lawyer representing the 33 persons Adv Silvano Estibeiro told Herald that he had sought seven days time to produce the necessary documents in support of the claim of his clients. “I will also file an affidavit before the Comunidade Administrator in support of the case on behalf of the 33 parties,” he added.
