MAPUSA: Pundalik Chavan, 27 of D’Mello, Anjuna was arrested by the police for breaking into a resort and stealing a mobile handset and SIM cards.
As per SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi, on Tuesday, one Nitin Surjyanarayan Sahu, 24 a tourist, lodged his complaint that

on the intervening night of October 2 and 3, an unknown accused entered Room No 103 of Yoyo Goa Vagator Retreat Hotel , Vagator, Goa and committed theft of one Samsung S4 Fold mobile phone having Airtel and JIO Sim cards belonging to his brother Rohan Babula Sahu of worth Rs 1,50,000.
Acting on the complaint, the police arrested Pundalik Chavan who during the interrogation admitted his involvement in the crime. The stolen mobile was also was also recovered from him.
Anjuna police are further investing the case.
