VASCO: Urban Development Minister Milind Naik has instructed the Animal Husbandry, civic body, police and other authorities to investigate into the mysterious deaths of eight stray cattle in the Mormugao Municipal jurisdiction.
Naik said, “It has been decided to hand over the stray cattle from municipal area to the cow shelter(Goshala) in next few days.”

It may be recalled that eight stray cattle including six cows and two bulls were found dead under mysterious circumstances in Mormugao municipal area. These cattle were found dead with no injury marks and people suspect that they may have been poisoned to death.
The residents have demanded a thorough investigation into these deaths.
Expressing concern over the cattle deaths, some councillors have demanded that the guilty be punished for such inhuman act.
