MARGAO: The Nuvem MLA Babashan is ready to form his panchayats in three out of six of the Nuvem panchayats. With this performance, Wilfred D’Sa becomes the most successful Congress MLA to retain power in the 2Panchayats of his constituency which even the GPCC President couldn’t do in Navelim.
Speaking to media, Babshan said, “Want to take even opposition together and start the development of the panchayats. I will also make ward wise committees and start planning developmental work for all the panchayats.”
He said that his panel would have won eight out of nine wards in Verna, due to the presence of too many Congress candidates in the fray, their tally came down to six.
He said that the newly elected Majorda panchas had called on him and that they would sit across and “decide on the sarpanch and start work soon.”
