SANGUEM: The residents of Dongor ward in Bhati Panchayat will soon get the new Bailey bridge in the village.
Thanks to the efforts put in by the Sanguem MLA Prasad Gaonkar in getting immediate construction of the bridge in the village after the lone bridge in the village collapsed during monsoon last season.
With the lone bridge in the village having collapsed, the villagers had constructed a wooden bridge in the village to tide over the situation and enable the villagers more particularly, the school going students, to cross the river during monsoon.
Keeping up with his promise, Gaonkar managed in getting the work sanctioned for the construction of the Bailey bridge in the village which will be installed in the next few days.
