ANJUNA: The Anjuna police arrested one Pravin Pandit (25), a native of Bihar, with ganja worth Rs 6,75,000 during a narcotic raid carried out near Swagat Bar and Restaurant, Anjuna on Monday night.
Anjuna PI Chetan Patil said the received a tipoff that the accused was heading to Anjuna with some drugs. “The accused was earlier held with drugs at Mapusa and was out on bail. He was held with 2 kg ganja in an earlier incident four months ago,” Patil said. Accordingly, police arrested the accused with 3.480 kgs of ganja, cash of Rs 270 and other materials which were seized under search panchanama.
