PONDA: Ponda police have registered a case of murder under Section 302 of IPC against unknown person in connection with a decomposed body of an unknown woman in her thirties that was found on the outskirts of the city.
Police said that the autopsy report revealed that victim received cuts on her neck and also on stomach; it is possible that the cuts were inflicted using a weapon like chopper.
Police have focussed their investigation in areas were migrants have settled down as the victim is suspected to be a migrant woman.
In 2012, a woman was murdered in same locality. However, police failed to detect the case.
