PONDA: Chartered Accountant Yatshi Vernekar, appointed by Registrar of Cooperative Society (RCS), has initiated inquiry after almost fifteen days after his date of appointment.
The CA questioned the Goa Dairy Managing Director Navso Sawant with respect to purchase of machinery by Goa Dairy, including other items that were asked to be probed by the RCS.
Vernekar said he would send a report of inquiry as soon as it is completed but refused to reveal details, saying everything would be submitted in his report.
The CA was appointed following former Chairman Madhav Sahakari’s complaint of irregularities into the affairs of Goa Dairy on March 14.
Sawanth said he would provide all documents whenever asked by the CA.
