PANJIM: The Council of Ministers on Wednesday resolved to transfer land admeasuring 3,500 sq mtrs of the Tourism Department to the Police Department (Home Department) at Priol (Mangueshi) for construction of a Police Station as per Rule 279, of General Financial Rules 2005 on ‘No Profit No Loss basis’.
Further, the Council of Ministers resolved to accord approval for rectification of Survey number as 188 Sub Division 5 and area admeasuring 1925 sq mtrs in the proposal approved for transfer of premises of old Primary Health Centre building at Tisk, Ponda belonging to the Directorate of Health Services to the Directorate of Art and Culture.
The Cabinet resolved to accord the extension to the Scheme named “Financial Assistance to Pre–Primary Schools for Scheduled Tribe in Remote Areas” for a further period of five years up to 17/09/2023.
The Council of Ministers also resolved to accord the extension of validity period as provision at clause 7 Evaluation of the scheme for a further three years for the “Scheme to support orphan children/children of widows belonging to ST community”.
The Council of Ministers also resolved to transfer Revenue Department land admeasuring 44,478 Sq Mts land under various survey numbers of Curchirem, Bicholim alongwith the encumbrances, i.e lessees to Department of Science and Technology, Government of Goa for construction & demolition waste management facility on ‘no profit no loss basis.
They also resolved to accept the offer of OTIS Elevator for replacement of the lift at Raj Bhavan which is essential for the Governor of Goa.
The Cabinet also resolved to grant approval for revised / amended “Rules of Enlistment of Contractors in PWD/WRD, 2020” and (i) to issue new enlistment to the existing contractors by raising tendering limit by accepting difference in pay, as per new Rules; and (ii) Weeding out old registration files and registers, being voluminous in nature, and to generate new files/ registers.
Further, the Cabinet resolved to accord ex-post facto approval for 42 works taken up by call of quotations by Public Works Department amounting to Rs 463.59 lakh to regularise the liabilities under Clause 2.2 of CPWD Works Manual and issue of Administrative Approval and Expenditure Sanction to issue Work Orders for the works taken up during the Golden Jubilee edition of International Film Festival of India.
