Capacity building initiative for HS teachers on Nov 29-30

PONDA: The newly formed Goa Multi-Faculty College (GMFC) of Shree Sateri Pissani Education Society's (SSPES) at Dharbandora will launch its 'Capacity Building Initiative', through which a Faculty Development Program (FDP) will be organised for Higher Secondary teachers each year.

PONDA: The newly formed Goa Multi-Faculty College (GMFC) of Shree Sateri Pissani Education Society’s (SSPES) at Dharbandora will launch its ‘Capacity Building Initiative’, through which a Faculty Development Program (FDP) will be organised for Higher Secondary teachers each year.
The first one-day FDP for the South Goa teachers will be held on November 29 at GVM’s Higher Secondary School, Ponda, and at Timblo hall in GCCI, Panjim, on November 30 for the North Goa teachers.
“The Faculty Development Program (FDP) 2013 is a part of the ‘Capacity Building Initiative’ and it will assist HSS teachers from the State of Goa in teaching various subjects like Commerce, Economics and Accountancy,” said SSPES President and Savordem MLA Ganesh Gaonkar, while addressing a news conference in the city.
According to organizers, the FDP 2013 will be addressed by Dr V Aditya Srinivas, presently working as the Chief Operating Officer and the Chief Economist of Bombay Stock Exchange Brokers Forum, Mumbai, and Dr Manoj  Kamat, an acclaimed researcher and scholar in economic policy and stock markets. About 300 participants are expected to attend the FDP 2013.
“GMFC has collaborated with eight professional bodies in the field of education, HSS Board of Studies (BoS) in the subject of Business Studies, Accounting, and Economics, the Goa Board, Goa State Council for Education Research and Technology (SCERT), Bombay Stock Exchange Brokers Forum, Education Committee of the Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Goa Commerce Association, GVM’s Higher Secondary School and All Goa Accounting Teachers Association (AGATA)”, informed Gaonkar.
