CUNCOLIM: A doctor couple from Ankola in Karnataka had a miraculously escape when their Scoda car went off the road and fell inside the Nayabandh lake at Cuncolim, on Friday at 3.30 pm.
Police said that Dr Manoj Narayan Nalge and his wife were going to Ankola from Panjim and when they reached Demani near Nayabandh, his car steering suddenly got locked and Dr Manoj lost his control and fell inside the Nayabandh lake.
Both Dr Manoj and his wife managed to out of the car and some passersby locals helped the couple to come out of the car.
Meanwhile, locals have demanded the Nayabandh Lake be fenced as it is close to NH17.
