PANJIM: Crime Branch will move for cancellation of bail of Menino Fernandes of Anjuna who was arrested for possession of drugs and granted bail by the High Court on April 23.
Fernandes was arrested by CB on February 16 this year with 67 grams of MDMA and 9.39 grams of cocaine all worth Rs 7.5 lakhs in the international market.
SP Karthik Kashyap (IPS) said that the chemical analysis report from CFSL Hyderabad of the samples has been received and the substances tested positive for MDMA and cocaine. “We are in process of moving for the cancellation of bail as the reports of the samples tested are positive,” he said.
The Court granted Fernandes bail as there was no confirmation that the substance seized from the possession of the accused and no report from CFSL.
Fernandes, was also involved in an assault case and was operating a beach shack a few years ago, while now he owns a resort in Anjuna near the beach.
