PANJIM: Five youth from Ludhiana (Punjab) have lodged a case of cheating against one Narendra Singh, who they alleged has duped them of Rs 9 lakh on the pretext of providing them lucrative jobs.
The Panjim police have transferred the case to Ludhiana police as the crime began from there, PI Rajendra Prabhudesai said.
“Singh had approached the five boys at their residencies in Ludhiana promising them jobs. They were brought to Goa but were left without jobs.” he said quoting the complaint copy. The boys then approached the local police with the complaint. The man is on the run but the police have assured all possible assistance to their counterparts.
