Cleaning drive at Agonda held

MARGAO: The Goan Seamen Association of India with Rise Nation Trust as a part of the initiative to mark the International Coastal Cleanup Day cleaned the Agonda coast and created awareness among the citizens to make it a habit and take responsibility to preserve and protect this beautiful coast.

“It was a really good day cleaning up Agonda Beach. We introduced the plogging concept where you walk and clean the beach. We are planning many more beach cleanups in the coming weeks and we do hope the Goans will come forward and clean up their beaches,” said Varun Carvalho of Rise Nation trust.

“We thank the Village Panchayat of Agonda and seafarers for their support,” said Michael Da Costa,  secretary GSAI.
