SANKHALI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Monday stated that the al the government primary schools in the State will be turned into model schools so as to attract students towards them.
Sawant stated this after launching the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) lab at a government primary school in Sankhali. He said that parents who queue up outside private schools as early as 5 am for admissions should be compelled to come and take admissions in government primary schools by enhancing academic standards.
The Chief Minister opined that initiatives like the STEM labs would help get fear about math and science out from the minds of children.
Later, the Chief Minister inaugurated Skill Development Library at the Government College, Sankhali. Sawant also witnessed signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Government College, Sankhali; Directorate of Higher Education and German company Putzmeister.
