PORVORIM: A man from Panjim has filed a police complaint accusing four persons and other staff of the Serula communidade of cheating him, in connection with a plot of land.

In his complaint, Luis Rebeiro told Porvorim police that he was allotted 300 sq mtrs of land by the Serula communidade in 1991.

He had completed all formalities, including the payment, but has now discovered that the Serula communidade has sold the same plot to another person.

Rebeiro claimed that the new owner had applied to the panchayat for the grant of license of construction of house in the plot. Porvorim Police has registered the offence against the accused and is investigating the case.
