PORVORIM: Police constable Dilip Mutkunde attached to the Mapusa Police Station was arrested by the Porvorim Police for allegedly assaulting a woman at the police quarters in Porvorim on Wednesday.
Porvorim PI informed Herald that a case has been registered and the victim is the wife of an IRB police constable. In the complaint, the victim stated that the accused entered her flat and allegedly molested her on Tuesday night.
It is learnt that assault is the fall out of the previous enmity between the families of both the accused and the victim. Both the families reside in the police quarters at Porvorim.
An offence has been registered under Sections 354 (A) (D), 353 and 427.
