Court to pronounce order on Siolim pastor’s bail plea today

MAPUSA: The Mapusa Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) will pronounce its order on the bail application filed by Domnic D’Souza, Pastor of Five Pillars Church on Wednesday.

The court reserved its order on the bail plea of Domnic on Tuesday after completing hearing into the matter. The pastor will also be produced before the Court on Wednesday after the end of his two-day police custody. However, D’Souza has been hospitalised since Monday after he complained chest pain.

The Mapusa Police informed that the Pastor is still admitted in the hospital as the doctor has not yet certified him to be fit.

The police had on Monday arrested the Pastor for his alleged involvement in conversion of people to Christianity through ‘inducement’ and ‘black magic’.

The arrest was made after a complaint was lodged by one Vadivel B, son of Balasubramaniam, a native of Tamil Nadu, but currently residing at Curti-Ponda.
