PANJIM: The Goa State Human Rights Commission on Tuesday ordered the concerned authority to transfer the investigation into the kidnapping case of a four-year-old boy from Vasco police station to Crime Branch.
The case reported on December 2, 2011 was initially registered as missing case by Vasco police. But after the matter was taken up by NGO Anyay Rahit Zindagi with the government and Goa police, a first information report of kidnapping was registered.
The aggrieved mother subsequently approached the commission in August 2013 for intervention to trace her missing son. The bench headed by Justice P K Mishra monitored the investigation and passed the orders referring to the Supreme Court and National Human Rights Commission’s guidelines.
