CURCHOREM: A woman from Madegal, Cacora-Curchorem Surekha Suresh Kakodkar assaulted Chief Officer of Curchorem-Cacora Municipal Council (CCMC) Pramod Dessai in his cabin on Thursday morning over some property matter.
According to Curchorem PSI Arun Endro who is investigating the case informed that on Wednesday the chief officer sent the municipal labourer to clear the mud which the accused woman dumped in the neighbour’s house compound.
“The chief officer informed us that one person from Madegal complained that the accused lady dumped some mud in his compound and accordingly he had sent labourers to remove it but lady did not allow them,” Endro said.
Police further informed that on Thursday chief officer again sent the labourers with the police protection and when the team reached at the site to remove the mud, she moved out from her house and went to CCMC’s office and assaulted the chief officer during their heated argument over the issue.
The complaint has been lodged against her by the chief officer and accordingly the case has been registered under Section 452, 332 and 504 of IPC.
