CURCHOREM: The Curchorem police continued their crack down on motor vehicle thefts by recovering three more stolen two-wheelers on Tuesday from a minor boy from Quepem.
According to PI Somnath Mahajik, after recovering three two-wheelers on Friday, more intelligence was collected and zeroed in one more minor boy from Quepem. On investigation he was found in possession of a Pulsar motorcycle without any documents and number plates.
“On questioning, he admitted committing theft of two more two-wheelers which were recovered from the place shown by the minor boy,” Mahajik said.
Police also informed that later Colva police took the custody of the minor boy as he was also involved in a theft of motorcycle under their jurisdiction.
The team consisting of PSI Sitaram Malik, constables Dhiraj Naik and Akshay Pandit succeeded in tracking down the stolen two-wheelers. In a span of four days, Curchorem police have traced six stolen two-wheelers from different parts of Goa.
PI Mahajik has requested the general public to be alert and bring to their notice if any suspected vehicle is moving in their areas particularly without number plates.
