BICHOLIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has appealed to the people not to create hurdles to government projects across the State.
The State government is undertaking various projects across the State to enhance road, rail and airport connectivity to attract investments, which is turn generate employment and other opportunities. Therefore the people should refrain from posing hurdles to such projects and filing court cases against them.

He was speaking at the inauguration of the Rs 83 crore worth 4.5 km four-lane bypass road from Bordem, Bicholim to Sarvana on Thursday. The newly built four-lane bypass road on SH 1, Bicholimwill ease travel experience and contribute to the State’s continued infrastructure development, he said.
Sawant also asked people not to encroach and set up kiosks on the roadside. He assured of completing the Bicholimmunicipal council building project within next two years. Bicholim bus stand and the fire station work has been delayed due to the contractor, he said.
The Chief Minister disclosed that the government is mulling setting up a project on Mayem evacuee property. He opined that with improved connectivity starred hotel projects which were hitherto limited to beach belt can come up in the hinterland areas.
