MARGAO: Maina-Curtorim Police said that Sudir Mandrekar, driver of a car who knocked down a minor girl and a woman causing them serious injuries was arrested and released on bail.

Police said that Pooja and Renuka Holler were both injured as their scooter was knocked down by a car near Ramnagri causing them serious injuries and had to be admitted to Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim for treatment. The car driver then fled from the site leaving the injured victims unattended.
Police based on a complaint registered an offence Under Section 279 and 337 of IPC against the car driver. Head Constable Sachin Naik is investigating the case.
