Duo accuses CM?of taking false credit

MARGAO:  Former Carmona Sarpanch Eustaquio D’Costa on Friday said that Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar should sanction a fish market if he is seriously concerned about the development of the village.
In a statement issued by D’Costa and panch member Divina Rodrigues, they said the chief minister came to Carmona, merely to claim credit for works executed during the tenure of former PWD Minister Churchill Alemao. “The entire village panchayat structure was completed before the last election as any villager would testify. The building has merely been painted and inaugurated by the chief minister .
Pooh poohing Parrikar’s statement the duo said there is no ward in the village without road connectivity and the quality of roads in Carmona is far superior to the roads in the CM’s constituency of Panjim. “More drains were built during Alemao’s tenure, “they added.
