ESMA to put brakes on stir?
PANJIM, NOV 19 In a major blow to the striking bus operators, the State government today invoked the Goa Essential Services Maintenance Act, 1988 (ESMA) onwards prohibiting strikes in any form. Transport Minister Ramakrishna Dhavalikar said "The operators are unnecessarily striking. They will cause loss to the people," adding that the strike during the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) will carry a wrong impression on people visiting Goa.
