VASCO: The first chartered flight from Russia arrived in Goa on Thursday early morning. The Boeing 747 flight of Rossiya Airlines came directly from Moscow to Goa, bringing in 522 passengers including crew members.
GTDC officials welcomed the tourists with flowers and sweets to mark yet another charter season beginning. A larger footfall compared to the previous year is being expected by the Goa Tourism Development Corporation.
