PANJIM: The State on Tuesday reported five new suspected cases of COVID-19, and all were admitted in the isolation ward of Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC).

As per the Health Bulletin issued by the Directorate of Health Services (DHS), reports of 48 suspected patients are awaited, while the results of 12 samples have come negative.
There are 18 suspected patients in the GMC isolation ward, including the five new cases reported on Tuesday. Also, 18 passengers were home quarantined on Tuesday.
Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant said that all seven patients, who tested positive for coronavirus, are stable and recovering very well.
“No more positive cases are reported for now. Also, Goa has been able to control the community transmission of the deadly virus,” Sawant said.
At present, there are 23 contact patients quarantined at Margao Residency, five at Old Goa Residency, six at sub-district hospital Ponda and one at Sub District Hospital Chicalim.
