The central government report reveals that 95.49 schools are with buildings while the rest are either run on rented premises or other places. “…about 99 percent of the total secondary and higher secondary schools have buildings. Most of the states have provided buildings to all its schools imparting secondary and higher secondary education. However, few states like Goa are yet to provide school buildings to many of its schools,” the findings reveal.
Moreover, only 23.21 percent schools have ramps for disabled. The only relief is that 1.20 percent of schools have single classrooms indicating that the classrooms-students ratio is healthy.
