PANJIM: Goa Dairy board was dissolved on Friday by the Registrar of Co-operative Societies. Dissolution has been done on the ground of mismanagement and irregularities, said the order issued by the Registrar of Co-op Societies Sanjiv Gadkar. Goa Civil Service officer Damodar Morajkar has been appointed as administrator in the absence of the board.
The Registar has also ordered inquiry against the Asst Registrar of Co-operative Society of Ponda Zone.
The order reads, “The Directors, Dhananjay Desai, Vithoba Desai, Baburao Desai, Naresh Malik, Gurudas Parab, Madhav Sahakari and Rajendra Sawant are hereby disqualified to continue on Board of Directors of the Goa State Co-operative Milk Producers Union Limited (Goa Dairy) under Section 59 (11) of the Goa Co-operative Act as both the inspection report have found discrepancies on the working of the society which are irregular, illegal in nature and detrimental to the interest of the society.”
“The MD Dr NC Sawant is wholly responsible for the irregularities and mismanagement,” the order read further.
