In a swift and timely intervention, the Goa Police Pink Force rescued a 21-year-old mother and her seven-month-old infant who were allegedly attempting to jump from the Old Patto Bridge.
According to police, the response was triggered after a PCR alert was received, prompting a team to rush to the spot within minutes. On arrival, lady head constables approached the distressed woman and engaged her in counselling, eventually persuading her to abandon the attempt.
Authorities stated that the woman, a native of Bengaluru, was later escorted along with her infant, husband, and mother-in-law to the Panjim Police Station for further necessary action.
The incident highlights the prompt response and sensitivity of the Pink Force in handling critical situations involving vulnerable individuals.
