Goa SUMUL Dairy has agreed to revise its milk procurement prices for local farmers, bringing them on par with the rates offered to farmers in Maharashtra, following demands raised by the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh.
The decision comes after concerns were expressed over the earlier exclusion of Goan dairy farmers from the revised procurement pricing, despite similar benefits being extended to their counterparts in neighbouring Maharashtra.

Responding to the representations made by the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, Goa SUMUL Dairy has now decided to implement the revised rates for farmers in Goa, a move expected to provide financial relief and ensure greater parity in milk procurement across the two states.
The revised pricing is being viewed as a positive step towards addressing the concerns of the state’s dairy farming community and promoting equitable treatment for milk producers supplying to the cooperative.
