The upcoming Zilla Panchayat (ZP) elections in Goa will be held on December 20, with counting of votes scheduled for December 22. Election authorities announced the full schedule on Monday and confirmed that the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) has come into effect immediately.
Nomination papers will be accepted from December 1 to December 9, except on December 3 due to the Feast of St. Francis Xavier and December 7, which falls on a Sunday. Scrutiny of nominations is set for December 10, while candidates may withdraw their papers on December 11.
The maximum expenditure permitted per candidate has been capped at ₹5 lakh.

A total of 8,68,637 voters are eligible to cast their votes in this ZP election cycle.
