In a remarkable achievement for Goa, Joshua D’Cruz from Moira has successfully cleared the All India JEE (Advanced) 2026 examination, securing the 69th rank in the CRL-PWD category.
With this accomplishment, Joshua is expected to participate in the upcoming admission rounds for the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), marking a significant milestone in his academic journey. He is also believed to be the first person with disability from Goa to qualify for the highly competitive JEE (Advanced) examination.

Joshua completed his Higher Secondary education at St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Mapusa, and earlier studied at Holy Cross Convent High School, Bastora.
Apart from his academic excellence, Joshua is an accomplished musician with the ability to play six different musical instruments, showcasing his diverse talents beyond the classroom.
The Disability Rights Association of Goa has congratulated Joshua on his extraordinary achievement, describing it as an inspiring milestone for the state and a source of encouragement for countless young aspirants.
