Good response to Bal Bhavan camps

More then 800 school students are creatively utilizing the April and May summer vacation by enjoying the summer camp organized by Bal Bhavan.
Along with its 32 Bal Bhavan Kendra spread across the state, the Panjim based Bal Bhavan is organizing a camp where children are able to discover and learn various creative skills.
The summer camp is categorized into two groups. One with the age group from five to eight which will be held in the morning (9.30 am to 12.30 pm) and the other with the age group of nine to sixteen which will be attending the camp in the afternoon (2.30 pm to 5.30 pm).
On an average nearly 150 students are attending the camp in each of the other 32 centers of Bal Bhavan. During these two months, students can learn drawing and painting, sculpture, musical instruments such as the harmonium and tabla, vocals, folk dances, Indian classical dance Kathak, literary writing and story writing. Students can also join a science club.
Children will also be able to participate in drama camp, literary writing camp, astronomy camp, story telling camp, personality development camp and several other activities.
Students will also be taught computer and short film making along with yoga classes.

Aeroplane construction, glass painting, paper bag making, mask making, mural designing and cartoon drawing are some of the other interesting workshops that will be held.
Except for Panjim other all centers are having their camp in the afternoon.
