The government on Monday withdrew its earlier circular of 50 per cent attendance in government offices thereby making it mandatory for all government employees to attend office daily from Tuesday.
The office memorandum issued by the government is applicable to all government departments, semi-government organisations, autonomous bodies and aided institutions.
The order also advises all government employees above the age of 45 years to get themselves vaccinated while seeking details of the number of government employees, who have received the vaccination.
The employees will have to stay at home if they have symptoms like cough, cold, fever or if they are short of breath, and advised to take appropriate medical care through the government doctors.
The departments have been asked to ensure strict compliance of the instructions on COVID-19 appropriate behaviour issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Department of Personnel and Training from time to time.
However, marking of attendance through biometric system is exempted till June 15.
