GU Prof goes missing

PANJIM: An Assistant Professor of Economics at Goa University Vishal Chari has been missing since three days as Goa Police have launched a search for trace his whereabouts. 

As per a missing person’s complaint lodged at the Old Goa Police Station, the professor had left his home at Merces in a Tata Bolt car on Saturday morning. He has been missing since then.

On Monday evening, the search team found his car parked at the base of Chandreshwar Bhootnath Temple at Paroda, which the locals claimed is at the spot since Saturday. A PhD is Economics, Chari is however not located. 

Sources said Chari, a native of Borim had recently shifted to Merces to live in a rented apartment.  

The reason for his sudden disappearance is not known while the police are enquiring with his family and colleagues to get lead in the case. A campaign is also launched on Twitter to help trace the professor.
