PANJIM: The High Court of Bombay at Goa has directed the Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority to decide on the show cause notice within four weeks regarding the construction work at Vainguinim Beach by a starred hotel.
The court has admitted the writ petition by Vainguinim valley residents seeking directions to be issued to government authorities regarding the construction carried out at the beach. The matter has now been placed for hearing around second week of June.

The GCZMA had conducted a site inspection on April 20 and observed that the hotel had violated the norms imposed by the Authority. Meanwhile, the Principal District and Sessions Court continued to hear arguments in connection with the ad-interim ex-parte order sought by the owner/management of the starred hotel and has adjourned the matter to Thursday.
