MARGAO: Unknown persons entered the house of Anson Jose Dias, Gorothi, Nuvem at midnight on April 8 and committed theft of five mobile sets, three pair of earrings, a knife and cash of Rs 3,000, all amounting to Rs 50,000.
According to Maina Curtorim police who have registered an offence of theft, the accused entered the house by removing roof tiles when the inmates were fast sleep and managed to lay their hands on gold ornaments and cash that was in the open. Further investigation is in progress.
