Huge relief as Govt resumes Beef supply on Christmas Eve

Beef vendors had gone on a two day strike in protest against vigilante attacks on them in Margao

PANJIM: There was huge relief to Christmas revelers as beef supplies began on Christmas Eve. Beef Vendors resumed beef vending operations from Dec 24 bringing huge relief to the Festive Season. Beef vendors had downed their shutters for the last two days fearing for their security, due to attacks on them by cow vigilantes.

In a major relief to beef consumers, the Goa Government resumed beef supply to meat vendors especially in Margao, on the eve of Christmas

The All Goa Beef Traders Association confirmed that vendors started operations on December 24, ensuring beef availability for Christmas celebrations.

 

There is no beef shortage for Christmas, assured Goa Meat Complex MD Dr Rajesh Kenny.

Govt has directed uninterrupted supply of beef. Slaughtering is underway & Goa Meat complex will remain open to meet festive demand for beef Kenny.
