The Panjim JMFC Court has remanded Siddiqui alias Suleiman Khan has been remanded to 7 days police custody. His wife, Afsana alias Sarika Khan, has been sent to four days SIT custody, in the Mapusa land grab case.

According to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant Suleiman Khan was arrested three days ago in Kerala. The Goa police had been monitoring his movements within Karnataka where he kept changing his location and then to Kerala.
Suleiman Khan, who escaped from Crime Branch custody when he was escorted by Constable Amit Naik to Hubli, was brought to Goa on Monday evening. Thereafter he was taken to Old Goa Police station where the case has been filed and then produced before the JMFC Panjim.
Suleiman Khan after his escape had circulated a video saying his life is in danger since Crime Branch had threatened him with an encounter, as alleged by him. He also said that he was beaten by police in the office of the SP Crime Branch in the presence of an MLA who wanted Suleiman’s land to be transferred in the MLA’s name.
On Monday, before his arrival in Goa another video went viral from unknown sources alleging that AAP President Amit Palekar had asked him to name the police and MLA in his first video.
