Ibrampur villagers slam MLA for ‘failing’ to develop village

PERNEM: Ibrampur villagers strongly criticised the local MLA and the government for “failing” to develop the village.
Participating in a discussion on development at the gram sabha on Sunday, the villagers claimed that not a single development work has been carried in the village since last two years.
“The MLA says that he cannot give jobs. And even on developmental front, he is a failure. If there are no jobs, then there should be at least some development in the village for the youth to make a living,” a villager said.
At the meeting, the sarpanch asked the villagers, who need soak pits, to submit their names at the panchayat office. Locals had complained at the last gram sabha that people are discharging waste water into drains and are causing unhygienic condition.
Sarpanch then informed the villagers that the panchayat has made an application to PWD to cover all the footpaths with pavers. And the villagers demanded that laying of pavers on all the footpaths should be completed before the beginning of next monsoon.
The sarpanch also informed that according on the demand of the locals, the health department has appointed a full time staff at sub health center, Ibrampur. However, the villagers claimed that the sub-health center does not have sufficient medicine to give first aid.
