A 30-day returnable proclamation notice was issued against him after declaring that the surety of Viola Fernandes has been forfeited.
Goa Police failed to nab Mickky even after a month of searching for him under an arrest warrant which was renewed four times.
The proclamation was issued under Section 82 of the Criminal Penal Code (CrPC). The prosecution will soon proceed with issuing advertisements and notices to prominent police stations and portals.
The Colva police sub-inspector stationed in Delhi to search for Mickky deposed before the court that he had searched for Mickky at all his hideouts, and that the Colva PI was in Delhi continuing the search.
After the High Court convicted him in July 2014, Mickky moved a petition seeking relief before the Supreme Court. His petition was dismissed on March 30, 2015, following which he quit his ministry and is now on the run. His petition before the Supreme Court asking for more time to surrender will be heard on May 11.
