The Konkan Railway Corporation has decided to run special AC trains between CSTM-Madgaon-CSTM to clear the extra rush of passengers during Christmas festival/Winter season in coordination with the Central Railway.
Sr Manager, Public Relations, KRC Baban Ghatge said that Train No 01009 CSTM-Madgaon Special will leave CSTM at 20.30 hrs on December 24 and January 1, 2011 and reach Madgaon on the next day at 6.30 hrs.
Similarly, he said train No 01010 Madgaon-CSTM special will leave Madgaon at 21.30 hrs on December 26 and January 2, 2011 and reach CSTM on next day at 7.40 hrs.
Ghatge said both the trains will have a composition of 1-First AC coach, 2- AC two tier coaches, 9- AC three tier coaches and two SLRs.
These trains have been provided stoppages at Thane, Panvel, Ratnagiri, Thivim and Karmali stations. For detailed timings, passengers are requested to visit website www.konkanrailway.com, he added.
