PONDA: The Shiroda Block Congress Committee, at a media briefing on Thursday, accused local MLA Mahadev Naik and the Bethora sarpanch of failing to solve the water problems in their jurisdiction, due to which the residents of Nirankal were drinking and depending on muddy bore well water. They demanded that the government look into the matter and solve the serious grievances of the people.
Addressing the media, committee member Hemant Samant said that people were afraid to speak out as there were instances of politicians taking revenge.
“The problems have existed for the past ten years. Even after coming to power, MLA and Industries Minister Mahadev Naik failed to address the issues.”
