VERLA-CANCA: Water Resources Minister Vinod Palyekar has assured to his constituents to provide good and wide roads.
Due to potholed roads, people from across the length and breadth of Goa, face difficulties.
The Siolim MLA inaugurated the works of widening of roads in Verla-Canca recently. The road leading to the Verla-Canca circle has become an accident prone area of late. Many serious accidents have occurred due to the narrow road leading to this circle.
The local were demanding that road widening needs to be taken up on priority. Paying heed to the demands of the locals widening of the roads in this area are being taken up.
The WRD minister said that there were many roads in Verla Canca that have become dangerous and accident prone spots and they are plans of setting up an additional circle and also road dividers to prevent accidents. He also highlighted that he will strive to solve the problems of the people from his constituency.
“As an MLA my main mission is to work for the benefit of the people from my constituency. We are attempting to take up developmental works by taking everyone into confidence,” said Palyekar.
Verla Canca Sarpanch Milton Marques praised the efforts of the MLA for undertaking constructive development works in the village for the benefit of the locals.
“We are confident that another circle will be set up along this stretch which will help to prevent accidents from occurring in the future,” Marques said.
