VALPOI: Sattari Shigmoutsao Samitti in collaboration with Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) will organise ‘Lokutsao 2013’ at Valpoi on April 3 and 4.
In a press conference at Valpoi on Tuesday, the Shigmoutsao Samiti members informed that various competitions like Rangoli for women will be organised on April 3 at taluka level.
The grand celebration will be held on April 4, where the Shigmo procession will start from Hathwada Junction at 3 pm and will proceed to Thane road via Valpoi market.
Competitions like floats, Romtamel, fancy dress and folk dance will be organised both for children and youth.
The concluding function and prize distribution ceremony will be held on VMC stage in the presence of Opposition Leader Pratapsingh Rane, Valpoi MLA Vishwajeet Rane and others.
The Samiti members who addressed the press conference include Fati Gaonkar, Sagun Gaonkar, Prasad Khadilkar, Ashok Parob, Ramdas Shirodkar, Narhari Haldankar, Uday Sawant, Zilu Gaonkar, Premnath Hazare, Markand Velingkar and Mahesh Tambat.
